Yet More Old Pics

This picture is from Hong Kong 1968 at the Tiger Balm Gardens (since destroyed to make room for apartments I understand). Aren't we a happy bunch?

The following picture is of me and some of my friends at a Christmas party I had during my senior year of high school. I graduated early, and never went back after the holiday break, since classes began at BYU the first week of January. I finished my first semester and came home, got a job, and graduated with my class. The red dress I'm wearing had been my mother's.

When I was at BYU, I lived the first couple of year in Heritage Halls. I served as the vice president for my dorm (Gates Hall) one year, and the following year Charlene Stout--who had been president when I was vice president) served as the president of entire Heritage Halls Council (all the dorm presidents). Chuck Sprout (as she was nicknamed) asked me to be her secretary/historian. This picture is from a leadership training meeting we attended at Brighton.

I had not heard that these gardens had been torn down, but that does not surprise me as they were really rundown and sad when I saw them again in 1983.

I love your blog, Donna. I have no pictures of me before the age of 17 - how sad is that?! A few old friends have tagged me on a couple of school year book photos, but that is it. Your blog is a real walk through the past.
