Update on Dave's Family in China

Finally got an email from Shannon. Seems the kids did really well for that very long trip. Unfortunately their apartment was nowhere near ready for them to take over, and it took a lot of talking (obviously with others doing the translating, since they don't speak but a few words in Mandarin at this point). They were put temporarily in the school's housing which was clean and roomy. They expected to be into their apartment in a few days. Their friends who are already living there took them out to dinner at a real Chinese restaurant, and the whole dinner for the large group was only about $7. Not bad!
