Kaua'i - Days 3 & 4

Wednesday was really rainy most of the day. We played with the grandkids and took it easy, though Ed and I went to the store. This shot is from one of Mt. Kipu. Love the stormy clouds above it.

This is the same mountain on Thursday. The weather's been gorgeous today.


Ed, Erin, and Spencer at Menehune Fish Pond. The pond is on the right, and the river directly behind them is where they filmed the scene with the airplane in the beginning of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's really grown in since then, hasn't it?



We went to Shipwreck Beach. The sand is so fine there. It's awesome to walk in, and the water is a really comfortable temperature. We'd have loved to have brought our suits (I'm  not sure I can fit in mine yet).

 A friend recommended that we try Puka Dogs, so we did. Yum!



Tonight we're supposed to go out for pizza since Aidan earned a certificate for school. In spite of my best plans, I don't think I'll be losing any weight this trip. Not that Ed makes that easy anyway since he's the original cookie monster.
