This is Dad (dark hair on the left), his twin brother Jim, and Grama Ella and Grampa Herb. It's from Herb that my family's males (most of them) get their red beards. Herb was a red head, and I understand Red was his nickname.
This is a wedding picture. Dad was 19 and Mom was getting ready to turn 22. She didn't realize he was so much younger than her until on their way to the wedding. He had to fess up that he was under 21 because in those days you had to have someone sign for you.
This is Dad and his cousin, Betty. It's through her that he met my stepmother, Gloria.
Can't resist showing this one, since I was going through old photo albums. This is a picture of when we arrived in Korea to join my father, when he was stationed there. He'd already been there for several months before we arrived. My mom had bleached her hair, and she commented on how differently she was treated as a blond than she was as a brunette.
Haha! Doesn't my brother David look thrilled to be there?
